This website was produced and designed using ASP programming, making up a large proportion of my final year on BSc Multimedia Production. Produced for a client, Film Locate is an extensive production resource for filmmakers in the East Midlands. The site offers quick and easy access to up-to-date information on all aspects of production within the region. The project provided an exciting challenge. As manager, designer and producer of this project, I gained a greater understanding of important issues in Web development and film production. My interests lie in production and project management (particularly as part of a team), and I think I developed significantly in these areass. I was able to prove an ability to manage my own workload effectively.

The brief for this piece of film was to produce a 90 second film entitled "Fly". The production role was taken on by myself, and I ensured the film was carefully considered and meticulously planned. The intention was to provide a simple but complete story that allowed for good filming technique, quality audio, clean edits and creativity with the use of animated visual effects. Visual effects, 3D animation and editing were completed by Martin Man. Direction and audio were completed by Joseph Shell. This piece of work was the summation of a video production module, for which I achieved a first class grade.

To the general public, the effects of a tsunami were little known until, on the 26th December 2004, a Tsunami was generated by an undersea earthquake in the Indian Ocean, off the western coast of Sumatra In Indonesia. I oversaw the production of this educational learning tool in the second year of my degree. As well as managing the project's workflow, I researched the subject at length to ensure a sensitive and accurate production. I also produced the necessary storyboards and documentation. The production was animated by Martin Man and Joseph Shell, with original audio being provided by Joseph Shell. This piece of work was the summation of 3D animation module, for which I achieved a first class grade.

This booth presentation was the result of a first year project intented to promote exploration of multimedia applications. The idea behind Booth was to create an original and exciting dining application to provide alternative "boothed" themes and menus under one roof. The piece is made in Director and is the culmination of my role as project co-ordinator for a team of six. The driving force behind the project, I ensured all deadlines were met, providing a series of Gantt charts for the project's life-cycle as well as producing all documentation. During the production phase, several presentations were required in front of the year group, for which I provided all written work and presentation materials. This piece of work was the summation of a multimedia applications module, for which I achieved a first class grade.
